Chow Mein, Chilli Chicken, Fried Rice with Manchurian, and so on, As the list goes on, water in our mouths also. We always wonder that whether Indian-Chinese food exists or not or all these dishes belongs to one particular country like Indian or Chinese Food items. But Indian Chinese food exists. Yeah its true, you can check it on Wikipedia. But here is a twist Desi Chinese created by the small Chinese community from the Hakka region that settled in Kolkata in the late 19th century. And this version of “Chinese food” had tickled the taste buds of people all over India, they adopting it in their way like from spring rolls in canteens to momos on the streets, Chinese Bhel Puri to Chinese Idli.

He did an experiment with quintessential Indian ingredients like ginger, chili, garlic, and just added Chinese soya sauce instead of garam masala and voila. With the passage of time, now paneer, gobi, mutton, and fish are also used in this.


3. Chowmein

Chinese chow mien is likely to as chāu-mèing. And is a portion of boiled noodles which we can top with scrambled eggs, greens, and soya sauce. But in India Chinese Food, they are pan fried and are spicy and the vital, they are favorite of all.


4. Manchow Soup

In the Indian Chinese food version, Manchow Soup is a spicy soup based upon soy and with ginger and garlic. Its main ingredients are carrots, celery, vegetables or meat, scallions, and fried noodles.


5. Spring Rolls

In China, this Indian Chinese Food item is as Chūn Juǎn. These are Cantonese-style dumplings and made for welcoming the spring. But in India, they are fried golden, filled with juliennes, vegetables, and often served as party snacks.
